Jun Ni

Dr. Jun Ni received a BS in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding from Harbin Engineering University in 1982, a MS in Power Machinery Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1984, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Iowa in 1991. These were followed by postdoc experiences at The University of Iowa and Purdue University in1993 and 1994. Dr. Jun Ni worked as a Senior Computing Consultant, Computational Scientist, Manager and Director to support campus-wide research computing at the University of Iowa. During his IT service practice, he also had adjunct professorships in mechanical engineering and computer science.

Yu Zheng

Dr. Yu Zheng is a research manager from Microsoft Research, passionate about using big data to tackle urban challenges. One of his project, entitled Urban Air, has been deployed with the Chinese Ministry of Environmental Protection, predicting air quality for over 300 Chinese cities. He publishes referred papers frequently as a leading author at prestigious conferences and journals, such as KDD, VLDB, AI,and IEEE TKDE, where he has received five best paper awards. Those papers have been citied almost 10,000 times (H-Index 47). His book, titled ¡°Computing with Spatial Trajectories¡±, has been used as a text book in universities world-widely and awarded the Top 10 Most Popular Computer Science Book authored by Chinese at Springer. Zheng currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of ACM Transactions on Intelligent Systems and Technology, and has served as chair on over 10 prestigious international conferences¡ªmost recently, as the program co-chair of ICDE 2014. In 2013, he was named one of the Top Innovators under 35 by MIT Technology Review (TR35) and featured by Time Magazine for his research on urban computing. In 2014, he was named one of the Top 40 Business Elites under 40 in China by Fortune Magazine, because of the business impact of urban computing he has been advocating since 2008. Zheng is also a Chair Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an Adjunct Professor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Dr. Yan Chen is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. He got his Ph.D. in Computer Science at University of California at Berkeley in 2003. His research interests include network security, measurement and diagnosis for large scale networks and distributed systems. He won the Department of Energy (DoE) Early CAREER award in 2005, the Department of Defense (DoD) Young Investigator Award in 2007, and the Best Paper nomination in ACM SIGCOMM 2010. Based on Google Scholar, his papers have been cited for over 9,000 times and his h-index is 41.

Beiji Zou, a professor and Ph.D, doctor advisor of Central South University, received his B.S., M.S. He is now the dean of School of Information Science and Engineering, Central South University, and also the member of the council of China Computer Federation (CCF), a deputy director of the CCF CAD & CG committee, the chairman of Hunan higher Education Federation Computer Education Committee, the deputy director of the Mobile Health Ministry of Education China Mobile Jointly laboratory, and a member of editorial board of the ¡°Chinese Journal of Electronics¡± (in English).

In June 2008,he received a doctoral degree from Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Science. Then he entered Dawning Information Industry Co.,Ltd, as project manager, the secondary department manager, department general manager and so on. Now, he is the general manager of Network Security Production Department, chief engineer. As project director and technical director, he presided over a number of scientific research subject like NDRC special information security projects and multiple Dawning key product research and development projects.

Zhi-Jie Zhou

Zhi-Jie Zhou is an associated Professor of High-Tech Institute of Xi'an. He received the Ph.D. degree in Tsinghua University in 2010, and was a visiting scholar at the University of Manchester in 2009. 2 monographs and More than 70 academic papers have been published and 19 papers of first or corresponding author have been indexed by SCI. He has obtained the national 100 excellent doctoral dissertation award nomination in 2012 and the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Chinese Institute of Electronics in 2015. He has presided over a National Natural Science Youth-surface continuous funds and a youth fund, a China Postdoctoral Science Foundation item and two Shaanxi Provincial Natural Science Foundations. He is the young workers in Chinese Association of Automation Committee, and the associated director of the chair in Shaanxi Province Association of automation of Youth Work Committee.

Shaoliang Peng

Professor Peng Shaoliang who devoted himself to high-performance computing, biological medicine data, financial data and mobile computing, works in National University of Defense Technology. He is the leader of bio-science field in high-performance computing and the specially-appointed professor of Beijing Genome Institute. He not only took charge of 3 projects of NSFC (Natural Science Foundation of China), among which has one major project, but also hold NDRC projects. He published over 50 works and academic papers as the first author in Nature Communication, ACM/ IEEE Transactions and Science China. He participated in the software development of super computer software application in Tianhe Series and won the Army Third Technological Process Award. Besides, he was CCF member in high-performance computing and sensor network, CCF senior member, vice-chairman of YOCSEF from 2015 to 2016 and ACM and IEEE member.

Min Li

Min Li received the PhD degree in Computer Science from Central South University, China, in 2008. She is currently a professor at the School of Information Science and Engineering, Central South University, Changsha, Hunan, P.R. China. Her main research interests include biological network analysis, genome assembly, identification of disease related MicroRNAs, genes, and lncRNAs. She has published more than 50 papers, which have been published in various SCI-indexed journals (Bioinformatics, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Proteomics, Methods, etc). She has been listed in the targets of young core instructors in Hunan province in China in 2011, and was supported by the program for new century excellent talents in university in 2012. She is a co-inventor of four patents in China, and has received six awards from agencies such as NSFC and Ministry of Education of the People¡¯s Republic of China.

Min Zhu received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Sichuan University of China in computer application in 1996, in applied mathematics in 2004, respectively. She joined the College of Computer Science of Sichuan University as an assistant in 1996, and at present she is a professor and vice dean, as well as the director of the Lab for Vision-Computing at College of Computer Science.

Yingtao Zhang

Yingtao Zhang received the Ph.D. degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Harbin, China, in 2010. She is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science and Technology of HIT. Her current research interests include image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, and medical image analysis. Dr. Zhang has published more than 50 papers in academic journals and conferences including, IEEE T-IP, PR, UMB, ICPR, ICIP, etc. Dr. Zhang is a Senior Member of China Association of Ultrasound and Engineering Member.

Guoliang Li

Li Guoliang, an Associate Professor of Computer School in Tsinghua University, CCF YOCSEF member, whose main research fields are database, space-time data processing and group calculation. He published more than 60 academic papers in top conferences and top journals of database, data mining and information retrieval. The total citation frequency of his papers is more than 2600 times, so he was among the highly cited scholar lists of Elsevier in 2014 in China. Besides, he hosted the National Outstanding Youth Fund and the project youth 973, etc. He won IEEE TCDE Early Career Award, young computer scientists award, and new century excellent talents of ministry of education. He was the Editorial Board member of IEEE, TKDE, FCS and Elsevier Big Data Research and committee member of SIGMOD, VLDB, KDD and ICDE, etc. He won the Best Paper Nomination Award in top conference of database (DASFAA¡¯ 14) and Best Paper Award in APWeb¡¯ 14. As the champion of big data competition in EDBT¡¯ 13, he also won the second award of natural science in 2013 as the forth author and the second award of ACM in natural sciences in 2013 as the first author.
